What is Techtopia in the Koots? The Answer revealed

During the first Techtopia event on February 28th, members of the IT and Digital Media community set about discussing their challenges, opportunities, wins, failures, hopes and dreams for the sector. The unofficial goal was to start establishing what Techtopia, aka an uber-successful tech sector locally would look like, and how we can get there.

One of the activities involved everyone posting Red, Green, or Yellow "lights" with short notes on them, onto the timeline. Green represented successes, Yellow represented challenges, and Red were stopping points.

The Road to Techtopia begins

On February 28th, 32 passionate and creative members of the Digital Media and IT industry in the West Kootenay linked up with 25 equally driven folks from the East Kootenay to begin drawing the map towards Techtopia in the Kootenays. What is Techtopia? That was a big part of the discussion as well.

What does success look like for you? Your business? The Region as a whole?
